Camp Hi-Rock

Coast YMCA
Camp
with Character, Programs with Purpose since 1948
YMCA
Camp Hi-Rock Opens Doors
Thank you for taking the time to find out more about the financial
assistance program at YMCA Camp Hi-Rock. We firmly believe that no
participant should be denied the opportunity to experience camp because
of an inability to pay for program fees. Please read the instructions
below if you are interested in applying for a financial assistance
"campership."
YMCA
Camp Hi-Rock is able to offer a quality, traditional camp
experience at a reasonable price because of contributions made during
our Strong Kids Campaign, which is our annual support campaign. The
funds we raise go directly towards the funding of all youth programs at
Camp Hi-Rock, and also helps us maintain a strong financial assistance
program. Please consider contributing
to this effort to help us continue our mission to build spirit, mind
and body for all.
Financial Assistance Instructions
-
Interested applicants should fill out and submit the Campership Application,
which includes a registration form (all forms are available at the Forms page.)
- Applicants whose campers live
in Brooklyn should fill out our Brooklyn-specific Brooklyn Campership
Application.
-
Regardless of the amount of assistance you are hoping to receive, all
application materials must be completed. Documentation of family income
MUST be submitted with all forms. Please read the application materials
for guidelines as to acceptable forms of documentation. Applications
without sufficient documentation cannot be considered.
-
A portion of our financial assistance program is supported by a
partnership with Summer Camp Opportunities Provide an Edge (SCOPE) of
NY. Part of our financial assistance application consists of forms
tailored to their program. In order to be considered for financial
assistance, please carefully follow all instructions and contact us if
you require help.
-
Once we receive your application, we will contact you by mail, either
to request further documentation, or to send a campership offer with finalized
assistance information and payment details. Campership
offers will only be sent once all application information has been
received. In order to reserve a spot at camp for your camper, this
offer must be signed and returned with any required deposit. Camp
Hi-Rock will not be able to ensure a space for your camper at camp
until we receive this written acceptance of the campership, along with
the initial deposit.
Notes
-
The more complete your application, the more quickly and thoroughly we
will be able to assist your family.
-
Because camp sessions fill quickly, applications received after May 1
will only be considered if availability and time permit.
-
Please do not make any finalized plans to send your camper to camp
until you receive a final campership offer and respond with written
acceptance and initial payment.
-
Our campership offer is a percentage of camp program fees. Participants
may also apply this campership rate towards one week of waterskiing.
Camp store deposits and day camp lunches are not included in campership
offers.
-
The membership fee required to attend YMCA Camp Hi-Rock is waived as
part of all financial assistance offers. Transportation is offered at a
reduced rate, based on the level of assistance that you receive.
